So you might have just discovered our site and your first thought is; How do I download

Alot of you might have never heard of usenet and are probably used to the free ways of sharing media across the internet such as Bittorrent and other peer-2-peer software.

Usenet is different though because with usenet there are no queues, virtually no speed limits (unless you are blessed with a 100MB pipe) and the availability of material is as endless as any other p2p network.

Thats great but how do I download all the stuff that is listed on Asianusenet?

Well, we do not host any of the files, your premium usenet provider will do that and you download/upload from/to them. We basically only index what is available on usenet so you wont have to take the time in digging out the place to find asian entertainment, trust me, its no piece of cake without help from AU.

So I have to pay?

Not us, we are a free service but to get usenet access you have to pay a small price. Most usenet providers are cheap in my personal oppinion considering you will have access to terybytes of material, at full speed of your connection and at any time you want with no queues.

Most premium and well established providers will ask a fee of around $15 a month for unlimited amount data transfer. This is a bargain considering what you get in return. No stress, no waiting lines and if you have that high connection and finally want to make use of it, now is your chance.

Are you trying to rip me off? Paying for free stuff?! It can't be legal!

Because of a loop hole relating to the way usenet works its pretty much legal, depending on what you consider legal. Its nothing like Bittorrent or kazaa. And no, we aren't bullshitting you, you do NOT pay for the stuff that has been uploaded by users world wide, you pay for the connection.

Is it safe?

10 times safer what you are using. Everything at the provider is annonymous, whether you download or upload. You are more at risk using bittorrent or anything similar.

Is there a free way of getting access?

There is but NO WAY near the quality of service you get with a premium provider. To get more information on free news servers click here

The speed will be limited and also amount of files will be limited. Use this only if you are really stingy with cash but expect alot of frustrations.

Can I upload to usenet to share my material?

Yes you can, probably most providers will give you posting access. Be aware though that you must request posting to be enabled with most providers to prevent users uploading spam. So if you get an error, simply contact the provider and ask them to enable it. Easy as that.
